Good News!

Members' meeting on 10th August - 2.00pm

Hello again Wannock Downs WI members

Yes, we really are going to have a meeting, and the speaker we were having in

July will be with us in August. Phillipa Jacobs, visited Chanzige Primary School in Tanzania in 2013, after which she set up Champion Chanzige (championchanzige.com)  a registered charity supporting the primary school. She regularly uses her annual leave to visit the school and is very passionate both about the school and the local community.

The get-together in Ginny's garden on 14th July was great  - the garden is so beautiful and, of course, so was the food!

If you missed this event you'll will be pleased to know that there is another one planned also in Ginny's garden

Fun and Games in the Garden - Tuesday 31st August at 2.00pm

As always we hope this finds you well and we are really looking forward to seeing you all on 10th.

Aims and Objectives of The Wannock Downs WI

We are a registered charity affiliated to the National Federation of Women’s Institutes ( NFWI ) and the East Sussex Federation of Women’s Institutes

( ESFWI ) which will be celebrating its centenary this year.

The WI as it is affectionately known plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities, the chance to build new skills, take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to us and our community.

We are always pleased to welcome ladies new to the area and anyone with time on her hands. We recommend you visit several WIs to see which suits

you best.

We look forward to meeting you!
