2009-2013 Jevington and Filching Gallery

Christmas 2013 - We had a splendid lunch at our Christmas 'do' followed by a very good magician who amazed us all.

Peggy and Carolyn helping our magician with an illusion - pleased to confirm that Peggy still has all her fingers!

Can that really be tea in that cup?

A jolly good raffle - so many prizes!

A delicious Christmas cake made by Jan...

... and served with a nice cup of tea from Valerie and June, with Hazel our President giving a helping (right) hand.

Gwen, Mary, Tom and Jan enjoy a pre-lunch drink.

Husbands, partners and friends joined us for our Summer Lunch at the Malt House, Herstmonceux on 8th August. (Click to expand pictures)

Lots of conversation, Mo, Sue, Marian and Beryl (just!).

Valerie and Maureen with Nora, Rosina and Sue just behind.

After a lovely meal and coffee the raffle brings the lunch to a successful close.

Part of the entrance to Sheffield Park Station. On Friday 26th July some of our ladies enjoyed a trip on the Bluebell Railway which has now been extended to East Grinstead. They just happened to enjoy a cream tea on the way!

The lovely booking office.

Those were the days!

Hazel, Valerie and Beryl waiting for the train.

Jan joins the other ladies - Tom's taking the picture.

All aboard!

Cream tea 'en route' and Barrie came too!

The 'new' end of the line.

The entrance arch at East Grinstead.

...and the new Café.

A closer look at the engine.

Homeward bound!

On Tuesday 23rd July we had a tour of Harvey's Brewery in Lewes, with samples of course! We had a wait of two years for the tour but it was worth it.

How it all started.

Fermentation in progress.

Still a way to go.

Finally into the barrels.

Covered in starlings, Harvey's tower provides a perfect roost for the night!
