NFWI appoints new chair
Discussing her new role as NFWI Chair, Janice Langley, said:
"I am delighted to serve as Chair of the NFWI and I am honoured to have been selected by my fellow members and Trustees. Having been part of the NFWI Board of Trustees for the past eleven years, I am looking forward to building on past successes, and continuing to promote the WI as an organisation with something to offer all women who wish to make a difference in their local communities; whether they're interested in campaigns, crafts or cookery, or all of the above! I am especially looking forward to celebrating with members in every WI across the UK as we start to plan for our centenary in 2015."
The power of the internet and the WI
I was just looking at your WI website and the gallery and was surprised to see 'my plate'. Well it's not my plate of course but Jean Cowell of Peacehaven painted my orignal in 1995. I actually have 2 plates as Jean painted one for my mother and I also had her paint a third as a wedding present for a friend. Rosalind Hodge
